1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern participation in the Blanchelande PTFA Club (“the Club”), operated by the Blanchelande College Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (“PTFA”).
By joining the Club, members agree to these Terms, including participation in the monthly lottery draw and the associated recurring payment arrangement.

2. Eligibility

Membership is open to:

Parents, grandparents, alumni, and other individuals connected to pupils or the community of Blanchelande College.
Members must be aged 18 or over and reside in a jurisdiction where participation is lawful.

3. The PTFA Membership — How it works

• Each £10 monthly subscription equals one entry (one unique lottery number) in every monthly draw.
• Your subscription renews automatically each month — no forms, no tickets, and no re-entry needed.
• If you’d like extra chances to win, you can subscribe more than once. Each additional subscription adds another unique lottery number.
• You’ll receive an email confirming your unique lottery number once your first payment is processed. This number is linked to the email address you joined with.
• Draws take place on the 1st of each month, or on the next working day if the 1st is not a school day.
• Winners are drawn at Blanchelande College and notified by email.

4. Payment & Cancellation — How it works

• We use PayPal Subscriptions to manage secure monthly payments.
• You can pay by credit/debit card (no PayPal account needed) or log in with your PayPal account.
• If you use a PayPal account: you can manage or cancel your subscription anytime from your PayPal dashboard.
• If you pay by card only: you’ll receive a PayPal receipt; to cancel, simply email us at [email protected], and we’ll stop future payments as soon as your email is received.
• All payments are protected by PayPal’s encryption and go directly to PTFA projects that benefit every pupil at Blanchelande College.

5. Lottery Participation

• Each active membership automatically includes one entry into the monthly lottery draw.
• The Monthly Draw takes place on the first day of each month (or the next working day if the 1st is not a school day).
• Special Edition Draws may be held at the discretion of the PTFA, typically linked to seasonal events or occasions.
• The PTFA reserves the right to amend draw dates, frequency, or prizes, with reasonable notice to members.

6. Prizes

The following prizes will be awarded in each monthly draw:

£500 — First Prize

£50 — Second Prize

£25 — Third Prize

Prize Collection

• Prizes must be collected in person by the holder of the winning lottery ticket at Blanchelande College.
• Winners must present valid identification at the time of collection.
• Prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable.
• If a prize is not claimed within 60 days of notification, it may be forfeited and reallocated at the PTFA’s discretion.

7. Notification of Winners

Winners will be notified via email using the contact details provided when joining.

It is the responsibility of the member to ensure their contact information is kept up to date.

The PTFA is not responsible for any missed notifications due to incorrect or outdated contact information.

8. Failed Payments

In the event of a failed or missed payment, the member’s lottery number(s) will be excluded from that month’s draw until payment is successfully received.

9. Conduct of the Lottery

The conduct of the lottery is governed by the laws and regulations of the Bailiwick of Guernsey, which take precedence over any conflicting terms stated herein. The PTFA reserves the right to suspend, amend, or cancel the lottery if circumstances beyond its control make it necessary to do so.

10. Data Protection

Personal information provided by members will be used solely for the administration of the membership and lottery.

Data will be stored securely and handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the Blanchelande College Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

The PTFA accepts no liability for any loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience arising from participation in the Club, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. Membership does not create any contractual or employment relationship between the member and Blanchelande College or the PTFA.

12. Amendments

The PTFA reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Members will be notified of any material changes in advance, and continued participation after such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
